Manon Elysia Ijaz is an Architectural Designer and artist with a background in set and exhibition design. Her work has engaged with social and political systems that have affected the future of landscapes and my thesis projects have investigated the biases and conflicts inherent to postcolonial environments to social issues relating to the growing parallels between the privatisation of mental health services and the rise of para-social relationships with AI therapy bots. She has a strong interest in architectural research, spatial ethics and the political potential of architecture and how it can be a way to highlight complex political and social issues. I’m currently working as a freelance Architectural Designer and have just completed my MA in Architecture at the Royal College of Art. She has over two years of experience in the residential and commercial sector at an AJ100 practice. She seeks to combine strong technical knowledge with creative, collaborative design thinking. Further to this she has been involved in smaller scale installations and worked on assisting in creating 3D Visualisations for a number of private clients.
