I work directly with private homeowners on small-scale residential projects, where considered design can significantly improve how a space works and feels. From rethinking a kitchen layout, to designing a more efficient utility room, or exploring options for a future extension, I can help you understand what can be achieved within your home. I produce clear, easy-to-understand drawings and visuals that allow you to explore ideas and make informed decisions. This can include:
1.Floor plans and alternative layout options to test different approaches
2.CAD drawings and hand sketches suitable for sharing with builders
3.Simple 3D views and visuals to help you imagine the finished space
4.Guidance on materials and finishes to help establish the right character and atmosphere
My approach
I begin every project with a discussion to learn how you live in your space and what matters most to you. Using this insight, I develop initial design ideas  to review together. After you’ve had time to reflect, I refine the proposals so they respond both to your brief and to the practical constraints of the building. Some projects may require involvement from a structural engineer or Building Control. I can advise when specialist input is needed and ensure my drawings clearly communicate the design intent allowing consultants and contractors to work from a shared understanding.
A Note on My Role
I am a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, not a registered architect. All drawings and design proposals are intended for concept development and discussion only and should not be used as construction information. They are designed to help you make confident decisions before any building work begins.
